Did you know that the Mat-Su Borough is roughly the size of West Virginia? And 70% of the Borough area is in District 7? There are 9 distinct communities in our district, from Meadow Lakes to Skwentna, and each one needs energetic representation in the Borough Assembly.
My name is Tam Boeve, and I’m running for the Mat-Su Borough District 7 Assembly Seat. I have lived in Willow for 21 years. For the first eight years, our family lived in a mobile home without running water or electricity. Life has never been easy for us. I understand firsthand the physical and financial challenges many families face.
I care deeply about our communities and have been an active volunteer for decades. I am currently involved in the Willow Historical and Wildlife Foundation, Willow Garden Club, Willow Area Community Organization Communications Committee, Willow Fire Department Auxiliary, Adopt a Highway program, Willow Youth Forum, Willow Winter Carnival, Mat- Su Community Councils for Public Safety, and I am the Chair of the Willow Fire Department Board of Supervisors. I have regularly attended Borough Assembly Meetings for the last 3 ½ years, and have spoken on numerous issues. I understand the role and responsibilities of an assemblyman. I respect your privacy and will not be knocking on your door or making phone calls, but I am interested in hearing what matters to you. Please feel free to contact me with your questions or concerns at boeve4assembly@outlook.com.
Local elections matter. How we fund our schools, prioritize our road projects and provide emergency services depends on our elected officials. Our northern communities need a voice on the Mat-Su Borough Assembly, and I have the experience and the energy to be your representative.
The Mat-Su Borough Election is October 2nd, and I’d appreciate your vote. Thank you.
