The April Pick.Click.Give. pledge numbers are in and Alaskans have continued to give generously in the face of economic uncertainty. 

Statewide, Alaska Public Media received the highest total pledges with $125,950 from 1656 donors, followed closely by Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest with $125,625 from 1705 donors. KSKA reached the #1 spot only $325 ahead of Planned Parenthood. Beans Café: the Children’s Lunchbox rounded out third with $105,775. Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue, a Mat-Su Valley based non-profit, settled 8th on the list with $41,275 in pledges.

There are seventy-one Pick.Click.Give. organizations who are based out of the Mat-Su Valley or who consider the Mat-Su Valley residents a primary recipient of their services. Alaskans pledged $199,150 among these organizations, the top 10 pledge recipients being:

1.    Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue - $41,275 from 934 donors
2.    MatSu Food Bank (Food Pantry of Wasilla Food4Kids) - $12,425 from 225 donors
3.    MY House - $12,250 from 224 donors
4.    Alaska Equine Rescue - $8,300 from 176 donors
5.    Alaska Farmland Trust - $6,750 from 113 donors
6.    Alaska Assistance Dogs - $6,300 from 165 donors
7.    Radio Free Palmer 89.5 FM - $5,600 from 90 donors
8.    Alaska WildBird Rehabilitation Center - $5,000 from 118 donors
9.    Jessica Stevens Community Foundation ACF - $4,950 from 57 donors
10.    KTNA Talkeetna - $4,800 from 58 donors
