Constant Causes

Constant Causes

Contributed by Katherine Baker

It rained and rained, then rained again,
a melancholy, wordy hymn.
Truth, reality deniers,
propaganda to inspire.
Shadowy actions at pleasure,
impacting our freedom...unmeasured.
Grasping control of the outcome,
strong-view Marxists redefine some.
Chaos heaves to rule emotions, repetitive noise, commotion.
Flooded awareness, now surrounds,
purpose, meaning, confused, confounds.
Heavy, passionate elements,
weary, plausible sentiment.
Cause results turn the opposite -
how this horror they do commit!
Seen in history by us all,
social sanity meant to fall.
Constant Causes weathered will bend,
praise inclement minds, stormy ends.
