Volunteers Are Needed For The Christmas Friendship Dinner!

Contributed by Judy Bowers

The Christmas Friendship Dinner plans, prepares and serves a free Christmas Day dinner to any and all, regardless of financial need. The group meal is served at the Curtis D. Menard Sports Center. Home delivery is made to the homebound (including families) from Chickaloon to Talkeetna.

The dinner has been served more than 25 consecutive years and is accomplished through the combined efforts of volunteers each season.

The Christmas Friendship Dinner is seeking volunteers to help fill needed leadership positions on various planning committees:

• We are seeking an Assistant Gift & Candyland Leader, who will help gather and prepare gift bags given to the children at CF Dinner on December 25th. Work is already being done in this area and we need someone to come and learn how to manage this area.

• We are also seeking a Volunteer Coordinator, who will organize the needs and the volunteers for the upcoming Season.

• Some of the other areas that help is needed are secretarial and decorating.
