My name is Melanie Yuknis and I am writing today on behalf of myself and my husband, Birch Yuknis, to endorse Matthew J. Beck for Mayor of the MatSu Borough. Our friend Matt is a long time Alaskan, business owner, parent, two term MatSu Borough Assembly Member, and active member in our MatSu community. He understands the rich history and diversity of the MatSu Valley as well as the development and challenges we face as we grow.
During his experience as a MatSu Borough Assembly Member Matt demonstrated the ability to actively listen to all sides of an issue and work with all stakeholders and community members to develop a plan of decisive and fair action. We know that Matt has the dedication, skills, and knowledge to lead our community through difficult times and into a successful future.
