Did you know Civil Air Patrol provides free STEM kits to educators, home schools and librarians, museums and youth organizations? In an effort to perpetuate an interest in STEM subjects and careers, CAP’s Aerospace Education program provides numerous STEM products and programs for Alaskan youth. Teach ordinary subjects in extraordinary ways by becoming an Aerospace Education Member (AEM)!
Experience hands-on learning with free programs, including (Gr. K-12) STEM Kits in astronomy, robotics, flight simulation, coding, engineering, rocketry, quadcopters and more. Aerospace Connections in Education (ACE) program provides engaging and meaningful cross-curricular aerospace lessons that support science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) initiatives and enrich the school curricula.
Additionally, many lessons promote good character and physical fitness, which are components of CAP's Cadet Program. Thus, the ACE program is a great introduction to CAP and for those youth who may be interested in learning more about general aviation and possibly becoming members of CAP's Cadet Program for youth, ages 12-18. CAP believes the ACE program will help foster good-natured and healthy citizens, who will develop an interest in and appreciation for aerospace/STEM subjects and careers as our nation seeks to inspire the aerospace/STEM workforce of the next generation. The ACE program can be conducted as in school or as an afterschool program.
Engage youth in captivating lessons and activities using a variety of more than 40 national standards-based educational materials. CAP’s free resources are available both online and in print to adapt to multiple teaching and learning styles. Additional online references provide an abundance of extra STEM resources.
