Rotary Uncorked 2017 Was A Success!

Contributed by Carolyn Lambrecht

The 2017 Annual Rotary Uncorked is an annual fundraiser put together by the Wasilla Noon Rotary and Palmer Rotary Clubs. It was a huge success again this year. It was wonderful to see the support throughout this community. The proceeds raised from this event go to charities such as MY House, The Yak and The Children’s Place, as well as college scholarships and to supporting the youth exchange student program and other local projects.

This year’s event carried the circus theme, “Under the Big Top”.  Many dressed in costume for the occasion. Wine was provided by Grape Tap and beer was provided by Anchorage and Arkrose Breweries, which were paired with tapas provided by Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, Humdinger’s Pizza, Bistro Red Beet, North Star Bakery, Turkey Red and Nonna’s Osteria. Many local business donated items for the silent and live auctions, and sponsored reserved tables at the event.

We would also like to thank our corporate sponsors: Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, All About Herbs, MTA, The Frontiersman, Q 99.7, The People’s Paper, Linda Brandon State Farm Insurance, Valley Business Machines, Guardian Security Systems and Nine Star Education and Employment.

This year marks the 8th year of the Rotary Uncorked fundraiser! For those of you who turned out for the event, we want to also thank you for your support too!

We want to thank everyone involved in this year’s event: volunteers, sponsors and attendees.  We look forward to the 2018 event, which promises to be even better yet and a great time to “Bond… 007… James Bond”.

Mark your calendars for October 13, 2018!
