Dear Readers:
It is time for the Palmer Toastmasters Club’s Annual Membership Drive.
Who should come to a Toastmasters meeting? People who want to build their confidence, grow as a leader, those who want to improve their communication and public speaking skills and have some fun and laughter.
We invite you to join us at any of our May or June meetings. We meet each Tuesday evening, from 6:00pm-7:00pm, in the Palmer MTA building downstairs in the large conference room.
This year, we are particularly excited to welcome new members in to our club because Toastmasters International recently introduced a new educational plan titled “Pathways”. Pathways is designed for you to complete your lessons online, then attend weekly meetings to complete your learning tasks to earn your professional designations.
If you have been a member of Toastmasters International in the past, you will be excited to know there are new professional designations to earn, and Alaska is now a part of District 32; therefore, may now send competitors to advance to the World Championships of Public Speaking Contest.
The Palmer Toastmasters Club also offers an Advanced Toastmasters Skills Meeting once each month for those having earned a Competent Communicator (CC) or Competent Leader (CL) designation or higher.
