Meet Willow

PETS & ANIMALS - Meet Willow.jpeg

Willow has spent every one of her short six months of life in a place that smelled of feces, decaying food and the fear of other dogs. Never a kind word, a gentle touch or a safe environment. Always a struggle for warmth, a meal to fill her belly and a search for safety.  Willow was in a dog lot, where she was just one of many unwanted dogs. Disposable dogs.

Alaska Animal Advocates is determined to change Willow’s fortune. We already have - she and her three siblings are in a foster home, where she is, for the first time in her life, well-fed, nurtured and cared for. But Willow’s needs go beyond basic care. Willow needs serious intervention to show her that we humans are not all heartless. That she is important. That she does matter.

Please, help Alaska Animal Advocates to turn around the future of this young puppy. Willow needs a patient person, who will take the time to allow her to become the dog that she was meant to be. A person who will show her kindness and persistence. It won’t be an easy road, but a very worthwhile journey. Recently, for the first time, she allowed her foster mom to pet her head. She has many more firsts to come.

If you are up for the challenge and the exhilaration of changing Willow’s life around, please call Angie at Alaska Animal Advocates at 841-3173.
