Mat-Su Schools Foundation is offering five $2,000 scholarships. The deadline for applications is April 16, 2018.
Each scholarship is for graduates of the Mat-Su Borough School District who intend to further their professional training in a college, university or certification program beyond high school. Applications will highlight each applicant’s career goals, previous community service and two letters of reference. We will also look favorably at applications which specify long-term plans where skills developed through post-secondary education will benefit our greater community.
Although the scholarships aren’t based on need, students will include a financial plan estimating their projected financial resources and college or trade school expenses. A letter of acceptance from the college the applicant will be attending will need to be received no later than December 31, 2018 for disbursement of funds from Mat-Su Schools Foundation.
