PRESS RELEASE from Mat-Su Sertoma Club

Mat-Su Sertoma Club is pleased to announce that they are offering two $1,000 scholarships for any deaf or hard of hearing student or student pursuing a degree in communicative disorders. The funds may be used for any term, including the summer term, during the awarded academic school year and are unencumbered.

Applicants should submit an essay of 500 words or less on their career goals, purpose of the funds and how it will benefit their future no later than April 1, 2018 and should be mailed to the Mat-Su Sertoma Club, P. O. Box 874202, Wasilla, AK 99687 ATTN: University Scholarship Committee

About Mat-Su Sertoma Club:
The Mat-Su Sertoma Club meets the first and third Thursday of each month at the Windbreak Café at 6:30p.m. Many Valley residents are familiar with their annual event – Mat-Su Sertoma’s Plunge “The Original Valley Dip” that has raised almost $300,000 for local non-profit organizations and educational grants.
