Come by and see Valley Fine Arts Association member artist Barbara Hunt show at Bearpaw River Brewery in the month of February.
Jim Leach at Kaladi’s in Wasilla:
Jim Leach is at Kaladi Brothers in Wasilla for the month of February. Trail Doc artist is Dr. James B. Leach III. Dr. Leach and his wife, Annie, have lived in Alaska for over 40 years. Jim was involved with racing sled dogs and worked with numerous sled dog races throughout Alaska and into Russia. Jim and his wife, Annie, flew their airplane to many bush villages to hold clinics. At the time of his retirement, Jim traded his scalpel for brushes and canvas. He paints both in oils and acrylics, and is a primarily self-taught artist.
Oil Painting Lessons:
Oil painting lessons are offered at the Art of Oil Studio, specializing in portraiture and landscapes. On Wednesday mornings, there is an intermediate class from 10:00am-1:00pm. On Thursday evenings, there is a beginner class from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Thirty dollars per class. Located on the Palmer/Wasilla line. Please call Diane Paoletti at 907-355-4632 for more info.
