Visit the Alaska Community Foundation Booth on Alaska Grown Day.
PRESS RELEASE from Palmer Community Foundation
The Alaska Community Foundation and its affiliates, Palmer Community Foundation and Jessica Stevens Community Foundation, invite you to visit their informational booth at the Alaska State Fair on Thursday, August 30th. This special day at the fair, known as BP Alaska Day, will help support “Alaska Grown” products and is also the perfect opportunity to showcase the opportunities for growing philanthropy in Alaska.
Representatives from Palmer Community Foundation, serving the greater Palmer area; Jessica Stevens Community Foundation, serving the Upper Susitna Valley area; and The Alaska Community Foundation will be on hand to provide information and answer questions about how to make a lasting impact in the community through intentional giving, now and into the future. The booth will be located under the eave next to the Farm Exhibit Building and community members are encouraged to visit and enter to win a gift basket.
As a community foundation, these organizations are first and foremost stewards of their donors’ dollars. As such, they devote considerable time to learning about the most pressing needs in the communities they serve and help donors find the best way to use their generous dollars. Donor funds are distributed annually through grants and scholarships to communities and individuals across the state, including the Mat-Su Valley.
