The Mat Su Sertoma Club was the successful recipient of grant funds from the Wasilla Noon Rotary Club for a soundproof booth.
Since 2011, the Mat Su Sertoma Club has provided free hearing screening to the public at a local medical office. It has been the goal of the Club to have a mobile unit present at local events and readily available free hearing screening. This year, they were the recipient of grant funds from the Wasilla Noon Rotary Club for that very purpose.
The booth was obtained from IAC Acoustics, known for their architectural, industrial and medical soundproofing nationwide.
The Mat Su Sertoma Club was founded in 2009 and has sponsored the Annual Mat Su Polar Plunge to raise more than $300,000 for Valley projects.
