Screenplay Contest Call For Entries

PRESS RELEASE

The Anchorage International Film Festival is excited to announce an expansion of the annual festival’s programming to include a new screenplay competition. Accepting finished scripts of 65 to 125 pages in length, this competition is open to all ages.

“As a festival, we are really looking to be a resource for the community; not only to see some amazing films and engage with some incredible stories, but also to know that we are bringing people together for workshops and panels and educational opportunities,” said Festival Director, Rebecca Pottebaum. “My hope with our new screenplay competition is that many Alaskan writers will dust off their manuscripts or finish that final draft and let their stories shine.”

The screenplay workshop planned for the festival will be open to the public, and will be the first of its kind in AIFF history. The annual cultural arts festival is set for December 211, 2016 in Anchorage. Follow them on Facebook for updates or on their website for submission details: www.anchoragefilmfestival.org.
