When no one is looking, there you are hair brush in hand, pretending to sing on The Voice. Even if you’ve performed at VPA and other productions, why stop there? No need to wait for a karaoke contest to come along!
Here is your chance to be a star and have loads of fun while discovering a fabulous place to shop in Big Lake. Come to Top Drawer on the corner of the Parks Highway and Big Lake Road on April 29th or May 6th from 1:00pm-3:00pm to show off your musical, comedy or theatrical talent for the auditions of Valley Variety - a new show to air on ME TV in May. After auditions, the show will be filmed on May 13th at 7:00pm with those lucky acts chosen.
Prepare a 3-4 minute G-rated family friendly act that you and your mother would be proud of. Tickets for the show are $10 and for those attending the performance as well as the acts chosen, be prepared to sign a release. The acts chosen will have an entry fee that includes a DVD with your performance if you are selected for the final show.
So break out of those winter blues and spring into summer showing friends, relatives and fellow Alaskans all that talent bottled up inside you. Everyone's a winner - because if your act is not chosen this time, you'll have another chance to shine next month, while having discovered a great place to shop for furniture, fashions and art.
