Alaska Design Studios Introduces ‘Huge Rock Café’

Contributed by Brian Stanley

I’m Brian, the lead artist at Alaska Design Studios, and I have launched a new website offering a selection of apparel and gear with a uniquely Alaskan theme. Having been in Alaska for over 40 years, I've encountered few designs that truly resonated with me as an Alaskan. So, over the years, I developed a bunch of ideas that I believe are clever, funny, and have genuine appeal to us Alaskans, our annual visitors, and anyone interested in our great state. This is the first of many designs and concepts that I’m rolling out to the public, with the initial offering available at HUGEROCKCAFE.COM.

The Huge Rock Café pays homage to our own Alaskan landmark, the actual huge rock known as Denali—the “Great One,” the most incredible and legendary mountain in the Western hemisphere, attracting people from around the world (many of whom end up being rescued while attempting to climb it). I prefer to simply gaze at its sheer awesomeness.

Without revealing too much, the next offerings will be dedicated to supporting an important and worthy cause: bacon. Another project will honor all the Alaskan, Olde English, and Irish taverns across the state. Next, a clothing line that celebrates our tropical lifestyle (just wait ‘til you see it).

Having been a graphic designer for many years and an artist with ideas of grandeur all my life, I invite you to check out hugerockcafe.com. I think you'll appreciate the salute to one of Alaska's—and America’s—great landmarks. Stay tuned for many more submissions.
