A New Blast from Alaska Veterans Museum!

Contributed by Suellyn Wright Novak

Come help the vastly enlarged Alaska Veterans Museum (AVM) celebrate its 11th birthday, and its grand reopening and dedication Saturday, April 23rd from 11 AM to 3 PM, with a ribbon cutting at 1 PM.

After 10+ years in the blue Market Place Mall next door, we have moved to the yellow Sunshine Plaza. We boast an extra 1,000sf of exhibits, and many more rooms.  Come help us celebrate!

We will have music, tours, and light refreshments. We have exhibits to thrill anyone, and even a timeless love story to share. We have been tirelessly moving, designing and working our tails off to bring you a better experience, and to display more of our collections. Come be a part of us.

See exhibits on:

See you there, and you will be amazed at our stories!
