A Rescue from Chevak

We love our dog and here is his tale,

Grab a tissue, for it may make you wail.

After losing our first dog to a wolf pack of three,

We needed a year to heal and be free.

When we were ready to adopt we looked online,

And to our joy what did we find?

The cutest little puppy so sad and malnourished.

He looked so ragged and discouraged. (See “Before” photo)

We scooped him up and adopted him that day,

But our little pup was not ready to play.

He needed a little bit of training and lots of love,

And very quickly he became a blessing from above.

So consider adopting a puppy or a dog,

If you have the time and energy to go for a jog.

They need exercise, love and instruction.
